The building opens toward the city exposing its “heart of glass”: these openings in the main body of the building are meant to welcome all of the social moments such as the entrance and the transit zones toward the existing building.

The internal circulation is structured like a path of knowledge; from high to low; beginning with what nature has put at our disposal from our ancestors; they can observe little by little the relationships and the reciprocal modifications between man and the natural environment through the various technological ages.

The building appears as a montage of opaque volumes, translucent and transparent, in this way also joining its form and constructive materials with the metaphor of man’s path toward the knowledge of the world that surrounds him.
